USA StoryTellers Project: A Hanukkah Miracle for Modern Times

The night before the Borderline murders and fires in my hometown of Thousand Oaks, I was one of the storytellers for the Holiday and Families theme for the USA/VCStorytellers project along with six other storytellers.

My story, “A Hanukkah Miracle for Modern Times” is about the first night of Hanukkah 20 years ago when the power went out and the miracle of the eternal flame. Three days after wildfires knocked out all the power – internet, cable and phone in our town. I didn’t realize when I told this story how current it would become – sadly so.
